This year’s Creators & Innovators Upcycle Contest marked our 5th year of encouraging upcycling by finding creative ways to turn waste into wave-riding crafts. Friday evening, we gathered with the community at our friends and partners, @theecologycenter, to celebrate the craftsmanship of our finalists’ projects from all around the world.Not many are privy to the work that goes on behind-the-scenes to make this event happen but it’s worth it to note how incredible the friendships are that stem from it. Along with 5 years of an amazing contest / initiative, we also celebrate 5 years of connecting with individuals from all over the globe who share our same desire for craftsmanship, protecting our environment and the ocean.Thanks to all that have been a part of it.
